О кинокартине:
Место события — Париж, 1931 год. История сообщает о романтическом треугольнике между четой Миллеров и Анаис Нин. Анаис замужем за Хьюго, но ей хочется большущего, ей нудно и тоскливо, она ведет дневник, подробный эротических намерений. Встретив однажды Генри, она увидела в нем необыкновенного и мужественного человека из Нью-Йорка. Он гениальный писатель и функционирует над своей первой книжкой. Чета Миллеров видится Анаис как главная эмансипированный, беспорядочный образ жизни, какой невыносимо ее привлекает. Она вступает в интимную связь как с самим Генри, так и с его женой. В конце концов, она пособляет Миллеру обнародовать его пробную книгу — «Тропик Рака», но единовременно провоцирует разрыв его соучастый с Джун. Сама же она возвращается к мужу.
